Contracted by the Municipality of Szentendre, Óbuda Group rehabilitated the historical town centre in 2012 with minimum disturbance to tourism. During the project we provided construction supervision, design supervision, and FIDIC engineering services. As part of the town centre rehabilitation project Óbuda Group has among others renovated two 200-year-old listed buildings under the strict supervision of the authority for cultural heritage as well as reconstructed the retaining wall of Templomdomb (Church Hill). In addition to such rehabilitation work, a new museum called MűvészetMalom (ArtMill), a new open-air stage by the Bükkös Creek, and promenades on both sides of the creek have also been built. The project has also involved infrastructure improvements across the entire town centre, with our company being in charge of upgrading the surface water drainage system in connection with the road network.
