Óbuda Építész Stúdió Kft. has contributed to the project MOME TWO as a design & build contractor. The campus development project at Zugligeti út is one of the major investments in the creative industry in Hungary. The purpose of developing a Creative Innovation and Knowledge Park at the MOME Campus is to allow for the institution to exceed the role it plays in the Hungarian creative and cultural life and to make the university one of Europe’s leading art research and development bases and the intellectual centre of its creative industries.
The first phase of the program constitutes of a close to 5,500 sqm technological park incorporating two buildings, the Workshop House (Műhelyház) and the Media and Studio House (Média- és Műteremház). As a general planner for architecture and integrated design, Óbuda Építész Stúdió Kft. was in charge of construction drawings, full coordination with consultants, BIM modelling, and collision detection. Creating a uniform architectural appearance for the two buildings as well as an industrial setting adequate for their functions have been important aspects throughout the design phase. The second building of the Technological Park accommodates a lab for materials experiments, graphics studios, and a lab for spatial experiments. Furthermore, there are photo, film, and sound studios with related rooms for post-production work.
