High Diving Tower

The diving tower and event area designed for the high diving event of the FINA 2017 World Championship, was implemented in Budapest, at Batthyány Square, in an area of 5,000 m2.

During the design of this tower with 20,234 nodes and 115 different element types, we had to comply with high technical requirements. The 27-meter-high tower, the connected 6-meter-deep pool required a structure with a total height of 33 meters, the spectator stands placed in its vicinity and the pedestrian bridge were also part of the project.

The assignment included the expansion of the section of the Buda quay at Batthyányi Square, keeping it operational during construction and obtaining the water permit from the competent authorities for the placement of the pool.

Óbuda Group provided architecture and integrated design and water permitting services.
