The developer of the gas and biomass power plant in Zilah has intended to develop an old coal-fired power plant on a 41,800 sqm building plot. Planning started in the Fall of 2010, with our company being in charge of architecture and integrated design as regards the new power plant technology to provide district heating to the city. Thus, we have performed planning work, including architecture, structures, mechanical and electrical services, as well as on-plot infrastructure (road and utilities).
During the project Óbuda Group has worked in tight cooperation with the technology engineer and the builder. According to the plans, buildings with a total floor area of 11,294 sqm would have been built in three phases (central building, gas boiler house, turbine house, biomass plant, storages, and maintenance). The projected gross floor area of the first phase (central building, turbine house, and gas boiler house) was 3,000 sqm. The documentation for the building permit has been completed by June 2011.
